Connie Migliazzo, PLA

Growing up in a large Italian family, Connie’s sense of community always centered around the connectivity of food. It wasn’t until college that this city kid was able to connect that experience of food with the land and labor from which it grows. This deeper connection to the land, coupled with a constant creative thread, lead her to study and advocate for the thoughtful design, care, and stewardship of all landscapes.

At her studio Prato, Connie brings over a decade of experience working on a wide range of projects, including parks, higher education, commercial, residential, agricultural, and tourism. Her skillsets include master planning, community engagement, presentations, and production of packages from concept to construction. Through her years of research and on-the-ground experience, she has gained substantial knowledge of native plant species design, environmentally sensitive & productive landscape practices, and landscape architecture’s role in urban infill development. Her design interests, method, and perspectives have been shaped by her many years working and exploring in the urban, agricultural, and wild landscapes of both east and west coasts.
